Mood rings. We all know what they are, right? They were first popularized in the 1970’s and feature a man-made gemstone that would react to subtle temperature changes in the finger of the wearer related to emotion. So the color of the ring would display your ever-changing moods.
It WOULD be awesome if our newest style changed color with the mood of the wearer. And, while we’re not quite at that level of technology yet, (Darn!) there is something very magical about the adaptability of this dress. It can be very seductively sexy…………or exceptionally sweet and innocent………all depending on your mood and which direction you want to take it………….
Annie’s designed this charmer with delicate adjustable spaghetti straps (so that you can get the length just right), an elastic-smocked bodice (very supportive) with diminutive ruffling all around and traditional lacings all the way up the front.
The skirt is, in a word, fabulous! It features big, attached ‘envelope’ pockets and inset sections at each side of the hem that are jam packed with lush, gathered fabric. A slightly shorter flat panel is inset at the center front and back.
Feeling romantic? Add a pair of strappy heels that wrap around your ankles. How about a narrow silk tie at the neck? A dab of musk perfume behind your ear, and dangley drop pearl earrings.
Leaning more toward a sweet and innocent effect? Add a lacy shawl, a simple locket and espadrille flats. A fresh flower behind the ear is a good finishing touch.
