This is easy-to-wear fashion that combines a layered lagenlook chic with a bold art-to-wear flair. And the combination is absolutely magic……………..
The story begins with a comfortably wide elasticised waistline and a sleek tier of fabric across the hips (very slenderizing.) Then, at the lower hip, the plot thickens (literally.) The skirt becomes double-layered, with the outer layer constructed of pleated strips of alternating batik fabrics. The under-layer has a straight hem and the outer-layer a curved hemline. (Yes, it’s as complex as you’re imagining, but our seamstresses here are AMAZING!)
Done up in our light and airy Balinese batiks, gauzy fabrics that are perfect for layering. There are at LEAST 3 different batiks in every skirt. They have extraordinary art-to-wear quality and they’re surprisingly easy to care for: cold water wash, hang to dry, fluff in the dryer if you want.
As you might imagine, this skirt is just right for parties, celebrations, and, of course, dancing. It looks extra fab with a batik shawl (please see our store.)
